Benniworth Annual Parish Meeting

Wednesday 13th July 2022 at 7.30pm

MINUTES

1. Attended by: Councillor G. Stewart, Councillor S McAllister, Councillor C Raynor, Councillor S Olivant and the Clerk. Member of the public: Mr P Willoughby.

2. Apologies for absence: Councillor D Gilmour. (illness)

3. The minutes of the previous AGM dated 21st July 2021 were agreed and signed off as correct by the chairperson, (there were no other Councillors present who were at the 2021 meeting).

4. The Chairperson Councillor G Stewart, presented her annual statement, recording the events, achievements and ongoing matters from the previous 12 months- see attached -The report to be posted on the village website. Councillor Stewart proposed a Vote of Thanks for Phil Dyas for his service as clerk, this was proposed by Councillor Olivant and seconded by Councillor Raynor. P Dyas had agreed to be co-opted onto the Parish Council as a Councillor and therefore would stand down as the Clerk.

5. Councillor S. Olivant had circulated the financial report – see attached. The Annual Accounts to be placed on to the PC website.

6. Election of Officers:

Chairman: Councillor G Stewart reluctantly agreed to remain as chair, whilst expressing her wish to resign which was noted. This was proposed by Councillor McAllister , seconded by Councillor Olivant  and agreed by all present, with no objections.

Vice Chairman: It was agreed that all remaining councillors would continue to share the role of vice chairman and that the tasks and workload would be defrayed between them according to skills and experience.

Finance Officer: Councillor Olivant  agreed to continue as Finance Officer

Meeting closed at 7.55pm

The next PC meeting provisional date 7th September to be confirmed.
