Extraordinary Meeting of Benniworth Parish Council

M I N U T E S
Apologies: Councillor F. Moon.
Present: Councillors C. Raynor, Vice- Chairman. C. Portais, P. Walker, G. Stewart, Mrs. K. Willoughby. Ten members of the public.
Public 15 minutes: Councillor C. Raynor opened the meeting for the public to ask questions or air their views on the planning for a bike track. MOP asked that it was to be noted that her objection was not anything personal towards the applicant but the bike track. Concerns were expressed for noise, number of meetings, and the site being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was also noted that it is dangerous coming out of the haven road on to the high street especially with it being a hill start and vehicles going fast on the High Street. It was also stated that some residents thought it was a good thing for the village bringing some income to surrounding businesses etc.
Councillor C. Raynor had sort advice on this matter from East Lindsey and been to see the planning officer. Clerk had also asked for advice.
Councillor C. Raynor told the meeting the Donington on Bain Parish Council had objected on the grounds of the noise, dust etc. She then asked each Councillor what their views were. Councillor C. Portas asked if this was from a personal point of view or on behalf of the residents who voted for you. Councillor C. Raynor asked for your personal view on the planning for the motor bike track. A vote was taken 2 FOR 2 AGAINST therefore it was the casting vote to decide the outcome. After some thought 2 FOR
3 AGAINST.
Clerk to put on the form the voting and reasons.
Meeting Closed 12 minutes past 8.00 p.m.
