1. |
Cllr Moon gave a brief overview of what the Parish Council does, the number of meetings held, action plan meetings and Annual Public Meeting. |
2. |
The applicants were asked three set questions by the Councillors:
The answers provided by all three applicants were deemed by the Parish Councillors as being well informed, knowledgeable, mindful and cognisant of the role of a Parish Councillor. |
3. |
The applicants were asked to leave the room while the Councillors had a short discussion. Cllr Stewart suggested all three applicants should be offered a position of Parish Councillor, as they all brought something to the Council table, and though co-opted onto the Council, would ensure an election is held in May 2019. The Councillors then voted on this and it was unanimous that all three applicants be offered a position on the Parish Council. |
4. |
The applicants then returned to the room and where Cllr Moon invited all three to be co-opted into the position of Parish Councillor for Benniworth. All of the applicants accepted the invitation. It must be noted they may not be referred to as ‘Councillor’ until all paperwork is completed and has been vetted by East Lindsey District Council. |
5. |
There were no questions from the applicants. All those present were informed there would be an election in May 2019. |
